logos

appeal to reason

With logos, you are interpreting facts or data.

"In 1970 there were an estimated 250 professional Elvis impersonators. In 2020 there were an estimated 35,000, an increase of 250%."

You violate logos with faulty reasoning. Which is really easy to do.

"At this alarming rate of infection, by 2070, 1 in 11 people worldwide will be Elvis impersonators."
